In 1977 this very dream took shape into an organization called Girikand Travels based in Pune, India. Since then Girikand has been successful in building a brand image that is associated with being an authentic assistant to the ‘Roamer’.In 1984 Government of India recognized Girikand as a Tour Operator. Today Girikand is affiliated to National and International organization like (IATA) International Air Transport Association, (TAAI) Travel Agents Association Of India, (IATO) Indian Association Of Tour Operators , (ASTA) American Society Of Travel Agents, (JATA) Japan Association Of Travel Agents.
Girikand’s first participation in ITB came in 1985. Since then Girikand has made its mark as a reliable Inbound Tour Operator. Girikand``s growth over the last 20 years has seen it grow from one location to 4 IATA approved locations at Pune, Kolhapur, Nashik and Nagpur and 3 more offices in Solapur Aurangabad, Mumbai. In this world of networking, Girikand has a strong network of agents and representatives spread all over the country, and is recognized as a strong reliable force in Maharashtra. This networking extends beyond this and spreads to the large base of suppliers of travel services across the country.
