Baggage Allowance...

This web page is all about baggage. The aim of this page is to provide you with useful information concerning baggage allowances that you are permitted to carry as checked baggage and also what you are permitted to carry on board the aircraft.
Changes are updated regularly. You are invited to visit this site regularly for up dated information.

Standard Checked Baggage Allowances >>

Whilst carriers may publish different baggage allowances applicable for carriage over their own services IATA has established a standard checked baggage allowance. Dependent on your routing either the checked baggage allowance will be based on a weight allowance or a piece system.

Baggage Allowance by Weight >>

This allowance does not apply to/from Canada and USA/US Territories. Other exceptions may also apply. Contact your carrier for details

First class 40 kilograms

Business class 30 kilograms

Economy class 20 kilograms

Baggage Allowance by Piece >>

This allowance applies to/from Canada and USA/US Territories. Other exceptions also apply. Contact your carrier for details.
Under the piece system passengers are entitled to TWO pieces of checked luggage. For handling purposes there is a size and weight restriction per piece. No one piece may weigh more than 32 kilos (70lbs). No one piece must measure more than 158 centimetres (62 inches). In addition for passengers travelling in economy the combined dimensions of the two pieces must not exceed 273cms (107 inches).
Carriers may apply differing allowances by class and route. It is important to check carefully your baggage allowance since carriers make an excess charge for the carriage of baggage in excess of their free baggage allowance.
