Also we visit Shankaracharya Math; also called the Sri Kanchi Matham or the Sri Kanchi Monastery, is a Hindu institution. Later we proceed to Vellore. On arrival we visit Golden Temple Sripuram; Sripuram stands tall in the middle of a spiritual oasis with a star path that leads the devotees towards it. Vellore – Gingee – Pondicherry
Today after breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to Pondicherry. En-route we visit Gingee; It is famous for its Gingee Fort, a popular tourist attraction. The Kon dynasty laid the foundations for the Gingee Fort in 1190 CE. The fort was later built by the Chola dynasty in the 13th century. After suightseeing continue our travel to Pondicherry. Pondicherry Or Puducherry, a French colonial settlement in India until 1954, is now a Union Territory town bounded by the southeastern state. Its French legacy is preserved in its French Quarter, with tree-lined streets, mustard-colored colonial villas and chic boutiques. On arrival in Pondicherry proceed for The Heritage walk. We will take you through streets that are laid out in a well planned grid pattern. The buildings in the French section are easily recognizable by their ornate gateways arches, garden courtyards with multi-coloured bougainvilleas and the buildings themselves painted in pleasant hues of lime and peach.The grand French names through unpronounceable, add a certain charm. Pondicherry – Chidambaram – Thanjavur
Today after early breakfast, we will check out from the hotel & proceed to Thanjavur; the ancient city of Cholas, En-route we visit Chidambaram; Thillai Nataraja Temple, also referred as the Chidambaram Nataraja Temple, is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Nataraja, form of Shiva as the Lord of dance. This Temple has ancient roots and a Shiva shrine existed at the site when the town was known as Thillai. Later proceed to Thanjavur. On arrival we visit Brihadeeswara Temple; it is one of the largest Temples in India and is an example of Dravidian architecture during the Chola period. The Temple turned 1000 years old. Thanjavur – Tiruchirappalli – Thanjavur
Have breakfast in the hotel. We will proceed to Tiruchirappalli; Situated on the banks of the river Cauvery is the fourth largest city in Tamil Nadu. On arrival we visit Shri Rangnath Swami Temple; Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, also known as Thiruvaranga Tirupati, is one of the most illustrious Vaishnava Temples in the country, dedicated to Ranganatha, a reclining form of Hindu deity, Bhagwan (God or Lord) Vishnu. After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Rameshwaram; it is the place from where Lord Rama built a bridge across the sea to rescue Sita, from Ravana.
